When I saw the amazing mood boards created by Rola Aina from The New Wonderful i knew this was a special opportunity. It was a huge privilege to be considered to be a part of a shoot alongside some of the top luxury wedding suppliers.
Elizabeth Solaru of the incredible Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium had devised the concept which was a celebration of calligraphy and aptly named “Parchment and Gold” The concept included lots of texture, opulent gold, white and ivory florals and of course lots of beautiful calligraphy.
Here there was a suburb platform to create something bespoke. The chair frame had to be of course not only gold but also ornate. The fabric was a white linen to reflect the parchment of the scrolls. We worked on various concepts and in the end went with the initials P & G to reflect the name of the shoot but in a real wedding it would be the couples initials. The initials were gold calligraphy.
Every detail of this shoot was just perfection and I think everyone on the team really worked hard and it shows in the most stunning images. We were most proud to have this shoot featured twice on www.wedluxe.com in their trend report and as a feature. Needless to say we would love to work with this team of talented suppliers again.
